Al Fanar Gas Group and Siemens Energy Forge Strategic Partnership for Clean Energy

Al Fanar Gas Group, a leading gas and energy solutions provider in the UAE, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with Siemens Energy, a global leader in energy technology. This collaboration aims to promote decarbonization and drive clean energy innovation throughout the UAE. The agreement was finalized during the World Utilities Congress 2025 held in Abu Dhabi.

The partnership directly supports the UAE Net Zero 2050 Strategy and involves the co-development of clean energy solutions that incorporate advanced digital technologies into energy and industrial infrastructure. Key focus areas for this collaboration include hydrogen, Power-to-X, flare gas management, and the electrification of ports and vessels.

To ensure the effectiveness of these initiatives, both companies will conduct rigorous feasibility studies to pinpoint scalable solutions that can easily merge with existing energy networks. Siemens Energy’s global expertise in digitalization will facilitate the introduction of intelligent systems aimed at optimizing energy consumption, monitoring emissions, and enhancing operational efficiency, thereby accelerating the energy transition in a practical and measurable way.

According to UAE News 24/7, Khaled Ben Said, CEO of Al Fanar Gas Group, emphasized the significance of this partnership, stating, “This partnership is not just about technology – it’s about responsibility.” He highlighted the company’s commitment to shaping an energy future that aligns with the values and ambitions of UAE leadership.

Khalid Bin Hadi, Managing Director for the UAE at Siemens Energy, reiterated the importance of the MoU, noting it reflects their dedication to collaborating with regional partners to explore viable paths toward decarbonization. He expressed eagerness to work with Al Fanar Gas Group to find solutions that are scalable and consistent with the UAE’s long-term sustainability goals.
