flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, has announced the addition of four new European destinations to its network. Starting in September, the airline will commence flights to the Moldovan capital of Chișinău and the Romanian city of Iași. Later, in December 2025, flights will also begin to the Latvian capital of Riga and the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius.

With these new routes, flydubai will now offer travelers a total of 135 destinations across 58 countries. Notably, this marks the first time that a UAE-based airline will provide direct flights from Dubai to Iași, Riga, and Vilnius. Flights to Chișinău will operate twice a week from Terminal 2 at Dubai International Airport, starting on Wednesday, September 17.
Chișinău is recognized for its historic white limestone buildings, unique architecture, and expansive natural parks, making it an attractive destination for those looking to explore less-traveled areas. From Friday, September 19, flydubai will also operate two weekly flights to Iași, a city known for its history and charming neighborhoods.
Furthermore, from Thursday, December 11, flydubai plans to initiate three weekly flights to Vilnius, followed by three flights to Riga starting the next day. Both Riga and Vilnius are celebrated for their stunning architecture and UNESCO World Heritage-listed old towns.
Emirates will codeshare on all four new routes, enhancing connection options for passengers. Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai, stated that these new routes highlight the airline’s commitment to underserved markets. He emphasized that the expansion reflects their dedication to fostering trade and tourism flows and enhancing Dubai’s role as an international aviation hub.
