UAE’s Trade Minister Thani Al Zeyoudi stated on Wednesday that ongoing bilateral negotiations between the United Arab Emirates and the European Union will not obstruct any potential trade agreement between the EU and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This remark follows the announcement of the commencement of talks for a trade deal between the EU and the UAE.

Al Zeyoudi emphasized that while discussions with the EU are underway, they should not be viewed as a barrier to broader trade agreements involving the GCC. The minister’s comments highlight a commitment to fostering trade relations without being hindered by individual negotiations.
The potential EU-GCC trade deal is expected to enhance economic ties between the regions, promoting investment and cooperation across various sectors. As the talks progress, the UAE remains optimistic about the outcomes and the benefits that a comprehensive trade agreement could bring.
