General Assembly (GA), a leader in tech education and career transformation, has partnered with Brinc MENA, a well-known venture accelerator, to strengthen the tech community in Bahrain. The two organizations announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that signifies their commitment to driving technological progress and fostering entrepreneurial dynamism in the region.

This collaboration aims to address the critical needs of Bahrain’s expanding tech sector. By leveraging General Assembly’s expertise in developing skilled professionals in areas such as software engineering, user experience (UX) design, and data analytics, the partnership intends to enhance the talent pool available to startups. Brinc’s established ecosystem for nurturing early-stage businesses will provide the necessary environment for these skilled individuals to contribute effectively to the digital economy.

The strategic alliance combines GA’s capacity for cultivating in-demand tech skills with Brinc’s resources aimed at advancing early-stage ventures. The primary goal is to create a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals while equipping startups with vital tools and support. This partnership will also offer startup founders the technical skills and mentorship required for success.

Ahlam Oun, Director of General Assembly, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, emphasizing the focus on establishing a thriving tech talent base in Bahrain. She stated that the agreement is designed to create synergy with Brinc, unlocking new opportunities in the tech landscape and driving technological progress by generating job prospects and fostering innovation.

Husain Haji, Managing Director of Brinc MENA, highlighted the significance of this collaboration, noting that it connects the needs of startups for skilled tech professionals with the training provided by General Assembly. He remarked that the partnership opens up a wealth of opportunities and showcases Bahrain’s potential in the tech sector.

Since its launch in 2014, Brinc has made significant contributions to various industries, including Web3, AI, and sustainability. The organization operates the successful Mashroo3i Program in collaboration with The Labour Fund (Tamkeen), aimed at supporting aspiring Bahraini entrepreneurs. Through the new MoU, Brinc will gain access to GA’s global network of mentors, enhancing the expertise available to program participants.

This partnership not only strengthens the innovation ecosystem in Bahrain but also provides meaningful collaboration opportunities for GA’s students and graduates within the local startup landscape. With this initiative, both General Assembly and Brinc aim to nurture talent and entrepreneurship in Bahrain, marking a significant advancement for the region’s tech ecosystem.
