UAE to Lift Travel Ban on Lebanon for Citizens Starting May 7

The UAE Foreign Ministry announced on Sunday that it will lift its travel ban on citizens traveling to Lebanon, effective May 7, 2025. This decision follows a visit from Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to the UAE the previous week, as reported by the WAM News Agency.

The lifting of the ban comes after discussions between President Aoun and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. They agreed to implement measures aimed at facilitating travel and enhancing movement between the two nations. The UAE had initially imposed the travel ban in 2021, although Lebanese citizens were still permitted to travel to the UAE.

This development signals a potential thawing of relations between the UAE and Lebanon, as both nations look to improve diplomatic ties and foster greater connectivity.
