The “Visit Berlin” organization participated in the Arabian Travel Market held at the Dubai World Trade Centre. Ralph Ostendorf, the Director of Global Markets and Media Relations, emphasized the importance of their participation, noting that the event is one of the leading tourism exhibitions in the Middle East and North Africa. He stated that their aim is to attract more visitors and tourists from this significant region while showcasing the historical and cultural attractions of Berlin, which features major commercial and entertainment centers, luxury hotels, and many restaurants offering Arabic and halal cuisine.

Ostendorf highlighted that Berlin welcomes millions of visitors annually but is particularly focused on increasing the number of tourists from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in 2025. He mentioned the availability of direct flights connecting Dubai, Doha, and Jeddah to Berlin, facilitated by several airlines.
The “Visit Berlin” initiative promotes the concept of halal travel, ensuring that halal dining options are widely available across various restaurants in the German capital. This is aimed at accommodating the needs of Muslim visitors and tourists. Ostendorf pointed out that Berlin is rich with attractions, activities, and events that appeal to travelers from Arab and Islamic countries.
He anticipates that Berlin will attract a significant number of tourists from the Gulf region during the summer of 2025, due to the extensive efforts made by “Visit Berlin” to promote the city’s strong tourism potential and the diverse experiences available to visitors, including the opportunity to enjoy Arabic and halal culinary offerings.
