The discussions occurred at the Arab World Institute’s headquarters in Paris, involving key figures such as Marwa Al Aqroubi, Executive Director of HoW, and Jack Lang, President of the Arab World Institute, along with Dr. Shawqi Abdul Amir, the Institute’s Director. Both parties discussed expanding cooperation and developing joint cultural programs that highlight the beauty and history of Arab culture while fostering dialogue with global cultures.

The meeting also included an exchange of knowledge regarding the potential for hosting traveling artistic and cultural exhibitions between Paris and Sharjah. They reviewed each institution’s experiences in curating events that promote understanding and cross-cultural exchange among nations. Marwa Al Aqroubi commented on the significance of engaging with the Arab World Institute, stating that it reflects their belief in the transformative power of culture and serves as a platform for joint initiatives to amplify Arab contributions globally.

Dr. Shawqi Abdul Amir emphasized the importance of culture in fostering mutual understanding, expressing confidence that this collaboration would create innovative partnerships focusing on projects with lasting intellectual and civilizational impact. During her visit, Al Aqroubi toured the Arab World Institute, including its extensive library dedicated to Arab affairs and various exhibition spaces showcasing traditional and contemporary Arab life. She particularly appreciated the ongoing exhibition, “Rescued Treasures of Gaza: 5,000 Years of History,” noting its professional curation and the effort to highlight Palestine’s rich historical legacy through rare archaeological artifacts.
