UAE’s Masdar Signs MoUs for Floating Solar Power Projects in Indonesia

The United Arab Emirates’ renewable energy company, Masdar, has signed two memorandums of understanding with Indonesia’s state-owned electricity company, Persero. These agreements focus on the development of floating solar power projects in Indonesia.

One of the key projects involves the establishment of a floating solar power plant at the Jatigede Dam reservoir located in West Java. Additionally, Masdar will explore the potential expansion of its existing Cirata floating photovoltaic power plant in the country.

These initiatives represent a significant step forward in enhancing Indonesia’s renewable energy capabilities, contributing to both local and regional sustainability goals.
