Etihad Airways has announced the launch of nonstop flights from Abu Dhabi to Peshawar, Pakistan, set to begin on 29 September 2025. This new route aims to strengthen ties between the UAE and Pakistan while expanding travel options for passengers to northern Pakistan.

Peshawar will become Etihad’s fourth destination in Pakistan, joining existing routes to Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore. The introduction of this service is expected to enhance business, family, and leisure travel between the two countries. Initially, the flights will operate five times a week, increasing to daily services starting 22 November 2025, reflecting the anticipated demand for this route.
The airline will utilize its Airbus A320 family aircraft for this route, which will feature a configuration of eight Business Class seats and 150 Economy Class seats, ensuring that passengers enjoy Etihad’s renowned comfort and hospitality. This announcement follows Etihad’s recent expansion of its network to Addis Ababa and represents the sixteenth new destination added by the airline in 2025. Other new cities include Prague, Warsaw, Algiers, Tunis, and Atlanta.
In addition to the new Peshawar route, Etihad is boosting frequencies on several key European routes, including Paris, Milan, Manchester, Frankfurt, Zurich, and Madrid. This expansion provides more options and flexibility for international travelers.
As part of its growth strategy, Etihad is also enhancing its Abu Dhabi Stopover programme, which offers travelers up to two complimentary nights in premium hotels. This initiative invites passengers to enjoy extended stays and immersive experiences in the UAE capital, whether they are transiting or staying longer. Etihad’s ongoing network expansion and commitment to destination diversity solidify its position as a leading airline for travelers seeking convenience and high-quality service.
