The upcoming Abu Dhabi Global Health Week (ADGHW), scheduled from April 15 to 17, is set to draw significant attention with expectations of 15 000 visitors, 1 900 delegates, and 200 speakers from 90 different countries. This major conference will concentrate on international efforts to extend life expectancy, promote personalized medical care, and leverage artificial intelligence in healthcare to enhance patient care.

Taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, the three-day summit will delve into vital topics such as longevity science, precision health, the resilience and sustainability of health systems, digital health, AI, and investments in life sciences. Dr. Asma Al Mannaei, executive director of the health sciences sector at the Department of Health, emphasized the UAE’s commitment to improving not only longevity but also the quality of life. She stated, “Longevity is actually our aim and a target priority for us,” highlighting that true longevity encompasses living healthier and happier lives.
The conference will also celebrate innovative contributions to the healthcare field. Winners of the ADGHW Innovation Awards, which include a prize fund of $200 000, will be announced during the event. Additionally, the results of the Smart Health Hackathon, which took place from April 4 to 7, will be revealed. This hackathon brought together emerging entrepreneurs and innovators to develop groundbreaking solutions for pressing health and well-being challenges.
Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, undersecretary of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health, noted the significance of the event in enhancing healthcare services and improving patient outcomes. She pointed out that “Longevity and personalised medicine are at the heart of this year’s event – chosen for their potential to transform not only individual health, but also the well-being of entire communities.” The event aims to foster global collaboration and align priorities to advance durable solutions in healthcare.
