Etihad Cargo, the cargo and logistics arm of Etihad Airways, is set to participate in LogiPharma 2025 from April 8 to 10 in Lyon, France. At this event, the company will share booth space with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Health (DoH) and RAFED, a leading healthcare procurement and logistics platform. Their collaboration emphasizes Abu Dhabi’s ambition to establish itself as a global hub for pharmaceutical and life sciences distribution.

Stanislas Brun, Chief Cargo Officer of Etihad Cargo, highlighted the advantages of Abu Dhabi’s strategic location, which serves as a gateway to the MENA region. He stated that they offer advanced infrastructure to facilitate easy access to both regional and global markets. He also mentioned that Etihad Cargo is enhancing its focus on creating a smarter cold chain for pharmaceutical customers, which enables a temperature-controlled ecosystem through partnerships with regulators, manufacturers, and supply chain associates.

The partnership is aligned with the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030, marking a significant step toward making the emirate a leading healthcare destination. Faisal Haji, Division Director of the Health Sector Innovation Department at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, stressed that the collaboration reinforces their commitment to transforming the healthcare landscape in the region. He noted that their goal is to build an ecosystem that provides patients with advanced treatments and innovations in medical technology, which would ultimately improve patient outcomes and elevate care standards.

Samer Al Zamil, Chief Commercial Officer at RAFED, remarked that their partnership with Etihad Cargo and the DoH is focused on constructing a reliable supply chain that benefits not just the UAE, but the broader regional and global healthcare community. He emphasized that LogiPharma serves as a platform to demonstrate the potential of collaboration between public and private sectors.

Etihad Cargo’s PharmaLife product, which holds IATA’s CEIV Pharma certification, guarantees the safe transport of temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals, vaccines, and biologics through advanced tracking and real-time monitoring technologies.
