Dubai Airport Taxis Now Available on Bolt Platform

Around 700 vehicles from the Dubai Taxi Company’s airport fleet are being added to the Bolt platform, which is a global shared mobility service. This development was confirmed by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and aims to reduce wait times for passengers arriving at the airport.

The introduction of this ride-hailing service for airport taxis through the Bolt app provides added convenience for travelers arriving at Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). The move is part of a broader strategy to accommodate the increasing number of travelers visiting Dubai by making airport taxi services more easily accessible.

This initiative aligns with the RTA’s goal to transition 80 percent of taxi trips to online booking in the coming years. It also aims to enhance the role of the Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) as a key player in urban mobility and to strengthen its leadership within the transportation sector.

Travelers can now bypass long queues by pre-booking a taxi upon landing, benefitting from upfront fare transparency, and accessing a dedicated fleet of DTC vehicles at both airports. Mansoor Rahma Alfalasi, CEO of Dubai Taxi Company, noted that this partnership with Bolt signifies a significant step towards enhancing digital transportation services, reflecting the city’s commitment to smart city technology and superior travel experiences for tourists and visitors.
