IMA Middle East and DIFC Academy Establish Strategic Alliance for Finance Professionals

IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) Middle East and the DIFC Academy have announced the successful completion of a series of workshops aimed at enhancing the skills of finance professionals. Over 500 participants have benefited from this initiative, which marks the first outcome of their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The workshops, held in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), covered vital topics such as strategic financial management, sustainability, and emerging industry trends.

Ahmad Mkhallati, Senior Director of IMA Middle East, India, & Africa Operations, expressed satisfaction with the workshops’ impact, stating, “These workshops are a significant milestone in our partnership with DIFC Academy, and we are thrilled to see the positive impact they’ve had on more than 500 finance professionals.” He noted that these sessions are just the beginning of a series of planned initiatives aimed at fostering professional development in a rapidly changing field.

Alya AlZarouni, Chief Operating Officer at DIFC Authority and Head of the DIFC Academy, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. She said that the success of the workshops demonstrates the potential of their partnership with IMA Middle East. The MoU laid the groundwork for this educational collaboration, and AlZarouni emphasized their commitment to expanding educational offerings to empower finance professionals throughout the MEASA region.

Looking forward, both organizations plan to introduce additional workshops and training initiatives designed to further enhance the knowledge and capabilities of finance professionals across the region.
