Dubai AI Festival Set for Second Edition Amid Inaugural Dubai AI Week

The Dubai AI Festival is returning for its highly anticipated second edition, scheduled for April 23 and 24, 2025, at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. This event is a key component of the inaugural Dubai AI Week, showcasing Dubai’s commitment to driving innovation and economic growth through artificial intelligence (AI).

Organized under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, the festival is coordinated by Dubai AI Campus in partnership with the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and the Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy & Remote Work Applications Office. The festival aims to explore AI’s transformative potential across various industries.

The festival is expected to attract over 8,000 industry experts, more than 500 investors, 100+ speakers, and 100+ exhibitors from more than 100 countries. Attendees will have access to more than 30 roundtables and workshops that will delve into advancements in AI, investment opportunities, and regulatory frameworks shaping the future of the technology.

AI is predicted to significantly impact the global economy, with estimates suggesting a contribution of USD 15.7 trillion by 2030, including USD 320 billion from the Middle East. In the UAE, the AI market is projected to reach USD 46.33 billion by 2033, while the machine learning sector is expected to grow to USD 2.41 billion. Experts forecast that over 80% of enterprises will integrate AI-driven decision-making by 2026. Additionally, the Dubai AI Campus is anticipated to expand beyond 100,000 square feet, support over 500 companies, generate more than 3,000 jobs, and attract USD 300 million in investments by 2028.

Key themes for this year’s festival include responsible AI deployment, transparency, and the future of work. Participants will gain insights into the impact of AI while addressing the ethical challenges posed by its rapid integration into various sectors.

His Excellency Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, expressed that DIFC is proud to host such a significant event, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global leader in technology. He noted that as AI adoption accelerates, the Dubai AI Festival will be a vital platform for fostering responsible and effective AI implementation across business, government, and society.

The festival will feature a dynamic exhibition showcasing cutting-edge AI innovations, along with a startup showcase where emerging companies will present their solutions to potential investors. The FutureTech World Cup will highlight top AI startups, connecting innovators with investors seeking the next breakthrough. Additionally, the Global FutureTech Innovation Programme will identify young talents worldwide using AI to address real-world challenges. This blend of exhibitions, discussions, and competitions is designed to encourage collaboration and investment in the next wave of AI innovation.
