Dubai Property Developers Pledge AED 560 Million for Mosque Development

Several property developers in Dubai have collectively pledged AED 560 million to support the construction and maintenance of mosques in important areas throughout the Emirate. This initiative is a significant contribution to the community, demonstrating the developers’ commitment to enhancing the cultural landscape of Dubai.

On Saturday, representatives from prominent firms including Emaar Properties, Damac Properties, Azizi Developments, Danube Properties, ORO 24 Developments, and HRE Developments formalized their commitment by signing an agreement. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, expressed gratitude to these developers for their valuable role in serving the community.

The Mosque Sponsorship Initiative, as explained by Sheikh Hamdan, underscores Dubai’s dedication to its cultural identity and values. The agreement was established between the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department and the Dubai Land Department, aiming to improve the sustainable construction, maintenance, and operation of mosques in the city. It also seeks to bolster public-private partnerships and aligns with the objectives of the Dubai 2033 plan.

Emaar Properties has pledged AED 280 million to support the construction of 42 mosques across nine areas, which can accommodate up to 29 696 worshippers. Azizi Developments has committed AED 80 million for three mosques in three areas, with a capacity for 7 000 worshippers. Similarly, Damac Properties has contributed AED 50 million for seven mosques in four areas, with a capacity for 3 600 worshippers.

Moreover, ORO 24 Developments has pledged AED 50 million to support six mosques across three areas, catering to 3 300 worshippers. HRE Developments also committed AED 50 million for five mosques in three areas, with a capacity of 3 000 worshippers, while Danube Properties contributed AED 50 million for four mosques in two areas, with space for 3 200 worshippers. This collective effort highlights the robust role of the real estate sector in community development in Dubai.
