flydubai, the Dubai-based airline, has announced a strategic partnership with LinkedIn aimed at enhancing its recruitment, training, and workforce development. This collaboration is part of the airline’s efforts to expand its network and fleet while aligning with Dubai’s aviation growth strategy and the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) vision of fostering a skilled and inclusive workforce.

As part of this agreement, flydubai will utilize LinkedIn’s Talent Enterprise Program, which provides access to global hiring tools, professional learning resources, and talent insights. This initiative is expected to significantly support flydubai’s ongoing recruitment drive, ensuring that the airline attracts top talent across various industries to achieve its long-term growth objectives.
The signing ceremony featured key representatives including Nasser Binkherbash, Senior Vice President of Human Resources at flydubai, and Rabih Haidar, Head of LinkedIn MENA – Talent Solutions. Binkherbash expressed that flydubai is dedicated to investing in innovative solutions, stating that the partnership with LinkedIn will enhance their recruitment and training efforts as they expand their workforce. He emphasized the airline’s goal to attract top professionals while aligning with the UAE’s vision of promoting a diverse and skilled workforce.
This partnership also supports Dubai’s long-term strategy to strengthen its aviation sector by ensuring a highly skilled workforce. The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has highlighted the aviation industry as a crucial contributor to the national economy, underlining the importance of workforce development investments for sustainable growth.
Rabih Haidar noted that LinkedIn is proud to collaborate with flydubai, providing advanced hiring and learning solutions. He pointed out that this partnership will not only support the airline’s ambitious growth plans but also enhance workforce capabilities and contribute to Dubai’s status as a global aviation hub.
Since its inception in 2009, flydubai has grown its workforce to over 6 000 employees, representing 140 nationalities. The airline invests in various in-house training programs, including the UAE Cadet Programme, which prepares young Emiratis for careers in aviation; the Engineering Apprenticeship Programme, which offers hands-on training for aspiring engineers; and National Development Programmes that aid career growth for UAE nationals across different departments.
Through the new partnership with LinkedIn, flydubai employees will gain access to LinkedIn Learning. This platform offers professional development courses and upskilling opportunities designed to enhance career progression and improve operational efficiency.
flydubai continues to focus on hiring and training the next generation of aviation professionals while contributing to Dubai’s economic diversification goals. The airline provides work placements, apprenticeships, and development programs in areas such as flight operations, engineering, and corporate roles.
