Lila Sciences has gained support from notable investors, including Flagship Pioneering, which was founded by Moderna, and Blue Horizon Advisors, an investment firm with locations in both the UAE and the UK. Other venture capital backers include Modi Ventures, March Capital, ARK Venture Fund, and General Catalyst. This funding is intended to facilitate the development of Lila Sciences’ AI platform, as well as its autonomous labs and infrastructure necessary for scaling operations.

ADIA, which manages nearly $1.1 trillion in assets, recently made headlines with its substantial investments in AI. Last November, it acquired a $1 billion stake in Qlik, a US data analytics software company, in a deal that valued Qlik at $10 billion. Additionally, the authority invested $500 million in AlphaGen, a power infrastructure portfolio, which is awaiting regulatory approvals and is expected to finalize in the first half of 2025. This portfolio is one of the largest power assets in the US, boasting over 11 gigawatts of critical power resources that will support ADIA’s initiative in developing AI-driven data centers.

According to data from LSEG, ADIA is also involved in an investor group that includes ChrysCapital Invest Advisors India Pvt Ltd, Hexaware Technologies, Altimetrik Corp, and Mphasis. This group is working towards acquiring a majority interest in Slk Software Pvt Ltd, a Bangalore-based custom programming service provider. While the specific terms of this transaction have not been disclosed, it is estimated to be valued at around 56 billion Indian rupees, equivalent to approximately $646 million.
