The Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) has announced a significant contribution of AED 20 million to the Fathers’ Endowment campaign. This initiative was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE as well as the Ruler of Dubai.

The Fathers’ Endowment campaign aims to honor fathers in the UAE by establishing a sustainable endowment fund that will provide treatment and healthcare for those in need. This initiative is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and encourages individuals to donate in the name of their fathers, promoting values of compassion, solidarity, and respect for parents.
Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, emphasized the authority’s commitment to supporting Sheikh Mohammed’s annual Ramadan humanitarian initiatives. He remarked that these efforts are vital for aiding underserved communities globally. Al Tayer stated, “DEWA’s participation in the campaign reflects our deep commitment to social responsibility and our dedication to supporting those less fortunate, in accordance with our Islamic values. We are proud to contribute to the UAE’s enduring culture of generosity.”
The campaign continues to welcome donations from both institutions and individuals. Contributions can be made through various channels, including the campaign’s dedicated website, Fathersfund.ae, and a toll-free call center at 800 4999.
