As the Hajj 2025 season approaches, Saudi Arabia is intensifying preparations through significant infrastructure and service upgrades aimed at enhancing the pilgrimage experience for millions of worshipers. The Central Hajj Committee, led by the Deputy Emir of Mecca, Prince Saud bin Mishaal, convened to evaluate the readiness of facilities and services for pilgrims during Ramadan and the upcoming Hajj season.

During this meeting, Kidana Company showcased its development projects for Hajj 2025. These projects include the creation of shaded and cooled pedestrian pathways at the holy sites of Mina and Arafat, a heat mitigation initiative around Namirah Mosque, and the construction of two-story toilet complexes to accommodate the increasing number of pilgrims.
Additional plans involve replacing concrete stairs with electric escalators in elevated areas, expanding tree planting and vegetation coverage at Jabal Al Rahmah, and introducing more pressure boxes in Mina to bolster infrastructure resilience. The meeting also addressed operational strategies for Hajj 2025 and reviewed the emergency response plan developed by the General Directorate of Civil Defense, which coordinates efforts among 43 government agencies to enhance safety and streamline logistics during the pilgrimage.
Prince Saud was informed about the service initiatives from various agencies supporting worshipers at the Grand Mosque throughout Ramadan. Discussions focused on crowd management, transportation, and healthcare provisions. The committee also tackled several other agenda items and proposed recommendations to further refine the preparations for Hajj.
