Akasa Air has officially launched daily direct flights between Bengaluru and Ahmedabad to Abu Dhabi in partnership with Etihad Airways. The inaugural flight from Bengaluru took off on March 1, 2025, while the first flight from Ahmedabad is scheduled for March 2, 2025. This new service expands Akasa Air’s offerings to 21 weekly flights connecting three major Indian cities with Abu Dhabi, complementing its existing daily flights from Mumbai

The first flight from Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru departed at 10:00 hours IST and arrived at Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi at 12:35 hours AST. The inaugural flight from Ahmedabad is set to leave Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport at 22:45 hours IST, arriving in Abu Dhabi at 01:00 hours AST. The addition of these routes marks a significant milestone for Akasa Air, highlighting its commitment to enhancing connectivity between India and the UAE.
During the launch ceremony at Kempegowda International Airport, Akasa Air’s Executive Committee members participated in a traditional lighting of a lamp. The occasion was commemorated by presenting a unique boarding permit to the first passenger aboard the inaugural flight.
Neelu Khatri, Co-Founder and Senior Vice President of International at Akasa Air, expressed enthusiasm for the new international route. She stated that the codeshare agreement with Etihad Airways not only strengthens Akasa’s presence in the UAE but also opens up new travel opportunities for customers. This partnership aims to foster trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between India and the UAE. Khatri emphasized that the collaboration underscores both airlines’ commitment to providing excellent service and convenient travel options for passengers.
