The Minister of State for Foreign Trade of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Thani Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, says that a major free trade zone deal between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the UAE will be signed in the next few months. During the Made in Russia expo in Abu Dhabi, he gave this update and said that the deal should be finalized in two to three months.

Al Zeyoudi said that the talks to make this agreement happen have been going on for almost a year and a half, with long talks that started in 2023. Russia, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan are the five countries that make up the EAEU.
The upcoming deal should improve trade between the UAE and the EAEU, leading to more economic cooperation and new business and investment opportunities in the area.
