Hidden Marina will stretch 2.5 kilometers in length and rise 500 meters in height, comprising three interconnected modules. The total built-up area is expected to exceed 21 million square meters, a figure that significantly surpasses global benchmarks, including the Burj Khalifa, which has a built area of only 350,000 square meters.

According to Gulf News, Denis Hickey, Chief Development Officer of NEOM, described the project at the PIF Private Sector Forum in Riyadh as “a bold step in redefining urban living.” He emphasized that it introduces a fully integrated, vertical city, constructed in modular 800-meter sections.

To support this emerging metropolis, infrastructure development has attracted investments exceeding $140 billion. This funding will ensure that vital services such as energy, water, transport, data, and communications are effectively established. The NEOM investment strategy involves two primary vehicles: the NEOM Investment Fund, focusing on strategic sectoral investments, and the NEOM Investment Office, which facilitates real estate partnerships.

Hickey also highlighted the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company, which is working with ACWA Power to construct the world’s largest green hydrogen manufacturing plant at the Oxagon industrial area. Furthermore, strategic partnerships have been formed, including a joint venture with DSV to create a cutting-edge logistics network and a collaboration with Samsung on automated rebar production to enhance construction safety and efficiency.

In addition, NEOM has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Data Vault for a $5 billion AI-powered green energy data storage facility at Oxagon. Hickey concluded by stating, “NEOM is not just a city, but an urban revolution designed to push boundaries, redefine economies, and establish a new standard for future urban development.” He affirmed that construction is on track, making NEOM’s vision of a fully integrated, futuristic metropolis increasingly tangible.
