UAE and Vietnam Discuss Strengthening Cooperation at World Government Summit

H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, met with Bui Thanh Son, Vietnam’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, today in Dubai. This meeting took place during the World Government Summit, where both leaders explored avenues for enhancing cooperation between their nations.

During their discussions, Sheikh Abdullah and Bui Thanh Son focused on developing ties across various sectors, including trade, investment, and economic collaboration. This initiative is part of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) aimed at fostering deeper relations between the UAE and Vietnam.

Sheikh Abdullah expressed his appreciation for the growing relationship between the two countries, highlighting the commitment to establishing productive cooperation that aligns with their developmental priorities. He emphasized that such efforts would contribute to the prosperity and well-being of both nations’ people.

Additionally, the two diplomats addressed several topics relevant to the agenda of the World Government Summit. Sheikh Abdullah underscored the summit’s vital role in shaping collective responses to global challenges and promoting a framework for international cooperation that seeks comprehensive and sustainable development for all nations.

The meeting was attended by notable officials, including Dr. Bader Abdullah Al Matrooshi, the UAE Ambassador to Vietnam, and Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, the Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs.
