Mohammed bin Rashid Discusses Future Challenges with Klaus Schwab

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, met with Professor Klaus Schwab, Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, on the opening day of the World Governments Summit 2025. The summit, running from February 11 to 13 under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” brings together leaders to discuss global challenges and opportunities.

According to the Government of Dubai Media Office, during the meeting, HH Sheikh Mohammed highlighted the UAE’s dedication to building a unified vision to address future challenges and unlock new opportunities for investment and economic growth. He emphasized the importance of adapting government tools and strategies to keep up with the rapid changes reshaping the world.

Professor Schwab praised the UAE’s role in fostering international collaboration and its efforts to strengthen global partnerships. He noted that the World Governments Summit plays a crucial role in bringing governments and organizations together to address pressing global issues and promote sustainable development. Schwab will deliver a keynote speech at the summit titled “Governments in the Intelligent Age.”

This year’s World Governments Summit hosts over 30 heads of state and governments, 140 delegations, and more than 80 international and regional organizations. The event features over 200 sessions with over 300 global experts and decision-makers, focusing on future trends, economic growth, and sustainable development.
