UAE and South Sudan Strengthen Ties in Key Sectors

President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of South Sudan, during the latter’s working visit to the UAE. The meeting took place at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi on Saturday.

Sheikh Mohamed welcomed the South Sudanese leader and discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two nations. Their talks focused on expanding ties in several critical areas, including the economy, investment, agriculture, renewable energy, and infrastructure. These sectors are seen as vital for achieving sustainable growth and prosperity for both countries.

The leaders also shared views on various topics of mutual interest, further strengthening the partnership between the UAE and South Sudan.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Sheikh Shakhbout Bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, alongside other senior officials.
