President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with French President Emmanuel Macron in France to explore opportunities for enhancing bilateral cooperation. Their discussions focused on various fields, particularly economic, investment, and cultural sectors.

During their meeting at the Élysée Palace in Paris, both leaders addressed the importance of collaboration in climate action, energy, advanced technology, and artificial intelligence. They emphasized their shared vision for sustainable development and mutual prosperity, reaffirming their commitment to ongoing dialogue.
Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the strong ties between the UAE and France, noting their constructive collaboration across multiple sectors, especially in energy and climate action. He pointed out that the two nations established a Comprehensive Strategic Energy Partnership in 2022 and launched the UAE-France Bilateral Climate Investment Platform the previous year.
The meeting also featured the signing ceremony for the UAE-France Framework for Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence. This agreement was signed on behalf of the UAE by Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and on behalf of France by Jean-Noël Barrot, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, and Éric Lombard, Minister for the Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty.
Both presidents reviewed the collaboration outlined in the joint UAE-France Framework Agreement, which focuses on investing in a 1GW AI Campus in France. They expressed their intent to create a strategic AI partnership and emphasized their commitment to exploring projects that support the development of the AI value chain. This includes investments in UAE and French AI, leading-edge chip offtake, data center infrastructure, talent development, and the establishment of Virtual Data Embassies for sovereign AI and cloud infrastructure in both countries.
The extensive scope of activities and anticipated infrastructure development under the UAE-France Framework Agreement for Cooperation in Artificial Intelligence reflects the strength of the relationship between the UAE and France. The two leaders agreed to closely monitor the progress of various AI cooperation projects in the upcoming period.
To conclude the meeting, President Macron hosted a dinner in honor of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed and the accompanying delegation.
