According to Khaleej Times, Yahya, the official from MoHAP, explained that this initiative represents a national project aimed at consolidating efforts from various health entities across the UAE into a single platform. Currently, each health entity has its own licensing requirements, which can lead to unnecessary duplication and complexity. The new system is intended to unify these processes, thereby reducing repetitive requirements and standardizing licensing procedures.
While the exact launch date for the platform has yet to be confirmed, Yahya noted that it is in the final stages of development and will be implemented soon. She emphasized the collaborative work being done with health entities across the country to ensure a smooth rollout of the new system.
The unified platform is expected to greatly reduce the time and effort needed for health professionals to obtain their licenses. Yahya stated, “This will allow professionals to easily practice across public and private hospitals in the UAE, facilitating seamless transitions and improving efficiency in the healthcare sector.”
This National Platform for Unifying Health Professions Licenses is aimed at various stakeholders in the health sector, including facility owners, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, allied medical specialists, and technical staff. By standardizing licensing procedures and minimizing repetitive processes, the platform aims to enhance user experience and expedite the licensing process for healthcare professionals.
