Abu Dhabi University (ADU) has celebrated a significant achievement in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2025. This year, ADU’s Business and Economics program climbed an impressive 39 places, reaching a global ranking of 62. This accomplishment places it among the top 100 universities worldwide and secures the first position nationally.

In addition to the overall ranking, ADU excelled in three key indicators within the Business and Economics category: ‘Research Quality,’ ‘Research Environment,’ and ‘Teaching,’ where it also ranked first. Meanwhile, the university’s Engineering subjects shared the fifth position and ranked between 301-400 globally, also earning first place nationally for the ‘Teaching’ indicator.
Accroding to WAM, Professor Ghassan Aouad, Chancellor of ADU, expressed pride in the university’s achievements, stating that the recognition in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2025 is a testament to ADU’s relentless pursuit of academic excellence. He emphasized that standing alongside world-class institutions highlights ADU’s growing prominence and its important role in shaping the future of education in the UAE and beyond. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to driving innovation and fostering a dynamic learning environment that contributes to the UAE’s academic sector.
ADU also made a notable entry in the Computer Science ranking, securing a joint fourth position and achieving first place for the ‘Teaching’ indicator in the UAE, while ranking within the top 301-400 globally. Furthermore, the university debuted in the Social Sciences rankings, where it attained a shared first-place position and ranked 251-300 globally, with top rankings in the ‘Teaching’ and ‘International Outlook’ indicators in this category.
