Dubai Municipality has officially opened the third season of the Ramadan Souq at Old Municipality Street in the Grand Souq, Deira. The event, which began on Saturday, January 25, 2025, will run until February 22, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan while showcasing the rich heritage of Dubai’s traditional markets.

The souq offers a mix of recreational, cultural, and commercial activities designed to attract citizens, residents, and tourists. Visitors can enjoy a vibrant shopping experience with competitive prices, appealing to families, youth, and heritage enthusiasts.
A special miniature souq has been set up alongside the historic Deira Souq, where long-standing shopkeepers are selling Ramadan essentials, including items for the ‘Haq Al Laila’ celebration. The event also features food stalls, personal products, live performances, children’s workshops, and other engaging activities. The market is open daily from 10 am to 10 pm.
Asem Al Qassim, Director of the Architectural Heritage and Antiquities Department at Dubai Municipality, told Emirates247 that the Ramadan Souq is an important event in Dubai, reflecting the emirate’s cultural traditions and history. He said it highlights the historical significance of Deira’s Grand Souq while enhancing Dubai’s reputation as a leading tourist and cultural hub.
Organised by Dubai Municipality, the Ramadan Souq supports tourism and entertainment while boosting investment opportunities and increasing demand for public facilities and venues across the city.
