Dubai International Financial Academy (DIFC) Academy has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Lloyd’s, the world’s leading insurance market, known for providing specialist insurance services to businesses in over 200 countries and territories. This agreement strengthens the longstanding partnership between DIFC Academy and Lloyd’s, aiming to extend the reach of Lloyd’s Academy, an educational platform for risk professionals initially developed in London. The objective is to support the creation of a talent pipeline in the rapidly growing Middle East insurance market.

Under this agreement, DIFC Academy and Lloyd’s Academy will collaborate to organize various events, educational bootcamps, and on-demand learning sessions that will contribute to the demand for skilled professionals across the insurance industry. This initiative reflects a commitment to nurturing talent and enhancing educational opportunities within the sector.
Alya AlZarouni, Chief Operating Officer of DIFC Authority, highlighted the academy’s dedication to fostering a world-class learning environment. She stated that DIFC offers guidance from renowned organizations, which accelerates the development of talent in the insurance sector. AlZarouni emphasized that this partnership with Lloyd’s is a continuation of their efforts to enhance the burgeoning insurance sector in DIFC, which is home to over 125 companies.
Dawn Miller, Lloyd’s Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Lloyd’s Americas, expressed enthusiasm for the MoU, stating that it marks a significant step forward in developing talent and education across the industry. She looks forward to continued collaboration in the Middle East to help cultivate a robust talent pipeline that meets the needs of this fast-growing region.
