The BCI includes both current and future business confidence. While the Present Situation Index reached 114.5 points, showing strong confidence in the current economic state, the Future Possibilities Index soared to 155.8, indicating high expectations for the years ahead.

Among various sectors, real estate emerged as the most optimistic, leading the surge in confidence. The emirate also saw a significant rise in the number of economic licences issued, with industrial licences growing by 28 percent, commercial licences by 25 percent, and professional licences by 9 percent, resulting in an overall 16 percent increase in licences issued in 2024.

In addition, licence renewals reached 131,380 in 2024, marking a 10 percent increase compared to the previous year. By the end of 2024, the total number of active licences had risen by 9 percent, further showcasing the stability and appeal of Ajman’s investment climate.

Saif Ahmed Al Suwaidi, Acting Director-General of Ajman DED, attributed these achievements to the department’s continuous efforts to enhance services and streamline processes for investors. He noted that these results align with the emirate’s Ajman 2030 vision, which focuses on sustainable economic development and fostering entrepreneurship.
