Intelex Vision, a company focused on AI-driven video analytics for real-time surveillance, has successfully raised £5.6 million ($7.0 million) in a Series A funding round. This funding was supported by prominent investors including Acurio Ventures, Adara Ventures, and Inveready. The recent investment comes as Intelex Vision reports an impressive growth, with its revenues increasing 11 times over the past three years.
According to Khaleej Times, Callum Wilson, co-CEO of Intelex Vision, stated that this strategic investment will enable the company to enhance its commercial growth while continuing to invest significantly in their product and the innovative AI technology that drives it. Michael Vorstman, the other co-CEO, noted that following their substantial revenue growth, the company aims to not only solidify its position in existing markets but also to penetrate some of the largest markets globally.
Hugo Fernández-Mardomingo, a partner at Acurio Ventures, expressed enthusiasm about Intelex Vision’s technology, viewing it as a transformative opportunity in the field of real-time threat monitoring. He emphasized the increasing perception of insecurity in urban areas and critical infrastructure projects, highlighting the potential shift from forensic data analysis to proactive surveillance.
Nico Goulet, founding partner at Adara Ventures, added that as large-scale CCTV deployments continue to generate vast amounts of data, the need for smarter video analytics becomes crucial for real-time threat detection and decision-making. He praised Intelex Vision for emerging as a leader in AI-powered video analytics with a scalable solution that has proven effective in challenging environments.
Ignacio Fonts, non-executive chairman of Inveready, commented on Intelex Vision’s remarkable performance in recent years. He expressed confidence that the combination of a talented team, unique technology, and the market potential of AI-powered video analytics will establish Intelex as a prominent player among Europe’s scaleups.
