Dubai International Project Management Forum Celebrates 10th Edition with Global Leaders

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, the 10th edition of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) started today. The forum is being held at Madinat Jumeirah and is themed “Sustainable Future.” This event is expected to attract a distinguished group of global figures, renowned speakers, and leaders from major international companies that specialize in project management.

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has confirmed that the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), DP World, Emaar Properties PJSC, and the Project Management Institute (PMI) are co-organisers of the forum. Mattar Al Tayer, the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of RTA, highlighted the forum’s success, noting the strong turnout and extensive global participation from specialized speakers in various project management disciplines. He emphasized that over the years, the forum has established itself as a premier global platform for sharing best practices and innovative ideas in project management.

Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, the Managing Director and CEO of DEWA, remarked that under the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has become a global role model for implementing innovative mega-projects with a focus on quality, efficiency, and sustainability. He added that the forum serves as a global platform for exchanging expertise and best practices, showcasing DEWA’s leadership in developing advanced electricity and water infrastructure. This has led to DEWA ranking first in over 12 key performance indicators, as noted in a study conducted by a specialized global consultant.

Mohamed Ali Alabbar, the Founder of Emaar and Noon and Chairman of Eagle Hills, stated that the forum highlights the essential role of innovative project management in shaping sustainable cities and preparing for future job markets. He emphasized the commitment to empowering leaders and teams to deliver impactful and transformative projects for future generations. DP World’s Group Chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, reiterated the company’s dedication to excellence and sustainability, marking the relocation of their global headquarters to Expo City Dubai as a significant milestone.

Pierre Le Manh, President and CEO of PMI, pointed out that the discussions at the DIPMF will focus on broadening the vision of project work and empowering professionals to improve outcomes and minimize waste. The current edition of the forum will address a wide array of topics, including sustainable project management, future cities, and the impacts of technologies such as artificial intelligence and blockchain.

The forum will also explore themes such as efficient construction, remote project management, and the circular economy. An elite panel of speakers, including Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy, and Dr. Aisha Bin Bishr, a global digital transformation expert, will participate in the discussions. The keynote speaker will be Arsène Wenger, OBE, former Arsenal Football Club Manager and Head of Global Football Development at FIFA.
