Ajman Expands Key Road to Ease Traffic Flow

Ajman has made a significant move to ease traffic in one of its busiest areas. The Municipality and Planning Department announced the completion of an expansion project on Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Street. The stretch between Sheikh Ammar Street and Al Hamidiya Street in the Al Jurf area now features three lanes in each direction, thanks to the addition of a new lane on both sides.

The project focuses on improving traffic flow and boosting service levels on the street and its intersections. It’s part of a broader effort to enhance Ajman’s infrastructure by creating stronger connections between residential communities and key infrastructure elements, promoting balanced urban development in the emirate.

Dr. Eng. Mohammed Ahmed bin Omair Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Infrastructure Development Sector at the Municipality and Planning Department, pointed out that this project aligns with Ajman Vision 2030. He highlighted that the expanded road has already reduced congestion and improved traffic conditions in an area with consistently heavy traffic throughout the day.

This development reflects the emirate’s commitment to achieving comprehensive and sustainable urban growth while meeting the expectations of its leadership.
