Dubai International Airport (DXB) is gearing up for a record-breaking start to 2025, with an estimated 4.3 million travelers expected to pass through its terminals in the first 15 days of the year. January is set to be one of the airport’s busiest months ever, with daily traffic expected to peak on January 3rd, when over 311,000 passengers are anticipated.
On average, approximately 287,000 people will travel through DXB daily during this period, marking an 8% rise compared to the same period in 2024 and a 6% increase over pre-pandemic levels in 2018-19. This surge reflects a mix of international visitors departing after the festive season and residents returning from holiday breaks.
As the world’s top airport for international travelers, DXB continues to set the standard for operational efficiency and global connectivity. Its ability to handle such high volumes while delivering a smooth passenger experience highlights its role as a leader in the aviation sector, according to WAM.
