Khaled Al Nuaimi, Director of the Federal Youth Authority, highlighted the UAE’s enduring commitment to humanitarian efforts, drawing inspiration from the vision of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. He noted that the values of generosity and solidarity instilled by Sheikh Zayed have shaped the UAE into one of the world’s leading nations in providing aid through various initiatives, including medical assistance, food distribution, and development projects across the globe.

Al Nuaimi remarked that the launch of this programme marks a significant step in reinforcing the UAE’s essential role in volunteer and humanitarian work. By engaging youth in these noble efforts, the programme aims to enhance their ability to act as a global force for positive change while supporting the goals of the Youth National Agenda 2031. This initiative strives to create a generation that reflects Emirati values and serves as true ambassadors for relief efforts amid humanitarian challenges.

The “Youth Social Missions Programme” focuses on enabling youth participation in three key areas: humanitarian missions, which involve delivering urgent aid to disaster-stricken regions; developmental missions, which include launching sustainable initiatives like building schools and supporting education; and cultural missions, which aim to promote cultural exchange and showcase the Emirati identity through educational events and programs.

Over the next five years, the programme plans to train young Emiratis aged 21 to 35 who are passionate about humanitarian work and committed to fostering community responsibility. It seeks to raise awareness, assist communities in need, and engage youth in international relief missions.

Participants in the programme will gain valuable insights into global issues and humanitarian needs, enhance their skills in international cooperation and tolerance, and develop communication, leadership, and time management abilities. They will also experience increased self-confidence and adaptability, which will enhance their effectiveness in diverse and challenging environments. Additionally, participants will learn how to create a positive social impact through development projects and advocacy for humanitarian causes.

The programme offers numerous advantages, including the honorary title of “Humanitarian Work Ambassadors,” opportunities to produce media content documenting their experiences, partnerships with international humanitarian organizations, official certifications from accredited entities, and real opportunities for field participation coordinated with partner institutions.
