Dubai International Airport (DXB) is enhancing the travel experience by introducing Smart Gates that utilize biometric technology. This initiative aims to streamline immigration for international travelers, allowing them to pass through immigration quickly and efficiently. The Smart Gates are set to debut in summer 2025, coinciding with an expected surge in passenger numbers.

The Smart Gates will employ advanced biometric technology, including facial recognition, to expedite the immigration process. As the summer travel season approaches, DXB anticipates welcoming approximately 3.4 million travelers between June 27 and July 9, 2025.
