The United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII) Conference 2025 officially began today, June 17, in partnership with NGN International. The event, held at the Awal Ballroom of the Gulf Hotel Bahrain, is centered around the theme “AI Innovations, Ethics, and Digital Transformation: Towards Excellence and Strategic Growth.”

This conference acts as an essential platform for discussing the latest advancements, recognizing upcoming challenges, and exploring strategic opportunities in the rapidly changing field of artificial intelligence.
In his keynote address, Dr. Milton Mattox, Chief Executive Officer of the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII) and a recognized expert in AI strategy, thanked Bahrain for hosting the event. He pointed out Bahrain’s growth as a dynamic regional center for technology innovation and highlighted the necessity of international cooperation in leveraging artificial intelligence for economic and social progress.
According to Zawya, Dr. Mattox explained that the conference seeks to promote global discussions and collaboration regarding the responsible and effective use of AI to tackle future obstacles and drive significant advancements.
The lineup of speakers featured a range of distinguished experts in artificial intelligence. Notable speakers included Mr. Amr Hariri, Managing Director of ITMEA; Dr. Amal Shaheen, a strategist in AI and organizational performance; and Dr. Abdulkarim Katbi, an authority in AI and digital infrastructure.
Further insights were provided by Dr. Fadheela Hussain, an AI and cybersecurity expert; Mr. Ali Awadh, a senior expert in telecommunications; and Mr. Mohamed Buallay, a key figure in geo-economic intelligence. Each speaker shared valuable perspectives on emerging trends, groundbreaking innovations, and practical applications affecting the global artificial intelligence landscape.
On this occasion, Mr. Yaqoob Al Awadhi, CEO of NGN International, expressed pride in collaborating with the United States Artificial Intelligence Institute (USAII) to co-host this significant event. He emphasized the importance of knowledge sharing and strategic dialogue with global thought leaders to accelerate the adoption of advanced AI technologies across various sectors.
Mr. Al Awadhi also reiterated NGN International’s dedication to promoting technological advancement in Bahrain and the broader region, aligning with Bahrain’s Economic Vision 2030 and its national agenda for digital transformation and innovation-driven growth.
